In 1863, Lincoln is elected president by the Congress. During his first few months in office, he plans to invade New Orleans in order to free Vadoma, who has fallen in love with the abusive Cajun, Armand Legras. Lincoln travels to New Orleans using gold dollars, asking Sturgess to accompany him. However, upon arrival, he finds that Vadoma is still a prisoner of Legras. After freeing her, Lincoln embarks on a plan to kill Legras, but is unable to. Legras chooses to die instead.
Also in 1863, vampires begin to attack prominent citizens in the city. While attending the theater, Mary Todd Lincoln is bitten by a vampire. On her deathbed, she tells her husband of her true nature. Lincoln, who needed proof to believe her, forces her to show him the bite. Lincoln travels to New Orleans and, disguised as a Cajun, meets with Legras. Legras reveals that Vadoma has been kidnapped and is being held in a house on Rue Victor Hugo, and offers to tell Lincoln where it is if he manages to free her with a silver pocket watch. When Lincoln attempts to get the watch, Legras reveals his true nature, knocks him down, and begins to drink his blood. Lincoln kills Legras and then investigates the house, but it turns out to be a trap. Still uncertain of what to believe, he returns to the hotel and is met there by Sturgess, who tells him that the vampires are in league with the Indian chief, Quanah Parker, and invite Lincoln to fight them with them. Lincoln refuses, and eventually returns to his hotel alone.
The following night, Lincoln returns to Rue Victor Hugo with an army. The vampires, who have come out of their hiding places, are defeated, and several are arrested. However, in the process one of the vampires, Anton, is trapped in a cellar by Mary Todd Lincoln, but before he can kill her, Lincoln kills him. With the vampires defeated, Lincoln realizes that the vampires are descendants of Adam and Vadoma. He takes the bodies of the slain vampires to the plantation of Adam. d2c66b5586
