So, what might Steve Jobs be mining? He might be mining the data he is publishing about, from his home, under the apple logo. He may be mining the data contained on his phone. Its all about The Flow. He is like Tim Ferriss. He is like Michael Masterson. But he is better, at least in my opinion.
I felt The Flow pretty quickly. I could flow more than a few days at a time. The more I flow, the more I feel the flow of the world and the flow of the outdoors. I also start to feel the flow of my own energy, like health and vitality and I find myself battling my "body formality" by pushing myself in the flow more.
The Flow taught me to play with time and space in a way I had never played with before. I focused on a course of action that could only happen at a specific time, and I spent hours and weeks in nature relaxing and letting go. And then I did the same thing at night. And then the same thing when I took my test and when I opened my business. I became able to do this in a way I had never done before. It forced me to take myself seriously. For a long time I had been both too serious and too silly. But with The Flow I learned how to take myself seriously and still let loose at the same time. It refocused my attention to include my overall physical well being and I saw it was a direct connection to my mental and emotional health - two things I had been neglecting and treating separately.
At the beginning of a flow session I would drink water. I would check in with myself after each session and ask myself questions. I would cross off things on a list of "things I will do more this week/month/year". I sat down and wrote a list as well. I try to do things to build the flow stream in the negative sense. d2c66b5586
