In the second week of PADI Open Water Diver Course, you will also have the opportunity to complete an Advanced Open Water Diver course. This course is usually six days long with two open water dives and usually two confined water dives. We will spend tremendous amounts of time on both skills and practice, as you will be performing the skills for the first time, and learning to practice the skills under a watchful eye. Key topics include:
Because the PADI Open Water Diver course is designed to develop your diving skills while also showing your preparedness in case of sudden emergencies, it will take lots of time and effort, but it's well worth it. Think of this course as a sport that you practice at home with your friends, but this time of the year is virtually impossible to schedule a practice, so this is your chance to experience this sport in a controlled environment. We will be helping you learn, but most importantly, we will be watching out for you at all times.
Finally, as you approach the end of the course, you will have completed 14 different dives in the open sea surrounding the Caribbean islands. Why? Because it's fun wearing your scuba equipment, and it just feels great to be out in the open water, seeing the world you learned in your classroom sessions come to life. You will be safe in all situations and you will have a great time. But please, always remember to respect the environment and conserve energy and water. Thank you for signing up!
The final step required to become a PADI Open Water Diver is passing the Open Water Diver exam. You will have had all of the tests and experience that we have taught you in the Padi Open Water Diver course and much more. The exam will have short and long questions that you will answer by writing them on your answer sheet, but it is mainly diving. During the phase of the exam, you will dive using all the skills that you have learned. The same skills that you performed during the classroom sessions, such as mask clearing, emergency regulator recovery, buoyancy procedures and more. You will also be performing different emergency procedures. d2c66b5586
