However, Sapna's father Lakhan Nehle (Anupam Kher) is a strict and wealthy businessman who wants his daughter to marry a rich man. He also dislikes Vijay and his family for being poor and middle-class. Vijay has to face many obstacles and challenges to win Sapna's heart and convince her father.
