Maps of Minecraft are made by networking a series of "rooms" together. Rooms are defined by four parameters: the horizontal and vertical dimensions (the y- and x-coordinates of the room's upper left corner, with 0 being the center of the x-axis), and the length and width of the room (the y- and x-coordinates of the upper-right corner, and the distance from one vertical wall to the other).
