In order to make a random dungeon more manageable for players, Blizzard added an optional feature called the random dungeon path block. This forces the dungeon to follow a common path through a portion of the dungeon as, for example, beginning with a certain boss, or using a specific, specific way to reach the end. It has several other effects; for example, certain doors or chests may not appear, and certain features may be inaccessible. Thankfully, selection of these features can be disabled by the players, if they so choose, resulting in a more random dungeon.
Blizzard has faced quite a few accusations over the years regarding the quality of their random dungeons, focusing most recently on the old AQ system. Their central defense is the fact that they planned for their random dungeons to be balanced -- and therefore they expect it to be a lot of fun for the people playing them.
Blizzard has gone through downsizing mode lately, which is bad news for all business. But this has given them the opportunity to rethink how they do their job, and they've decided to completely revamp the once-great dungeon system. It's not only about this upcoming expansion, but the next few expansion sets after as well -- currently under development. The idea is to rewrite how random dungeons are played as a kind of minigame in WoW. The random dungeons are no longer meant to be fun for the player. Now, they'll serve as a challenge to the players, in a similar way to the old Diku M.U.L.E. or the monthly capstones. Blizzard does think that they are fun, and they've been enforcing this off-line with the newly launched dungeon tour .
Michael Michaud at www.websynapse.com has modified the iPrinter utility to allow the user to reset the Waste Ink Counter, to change the Waste Ink Counter from "Continue to print" to "Restart print", and to change between the two (Never had a fluid pad as well - so this utility scripts printing until the ink pad is changed when a new printhead is fitted. I have used the Reset and Continue to print a few times and the printer appears to do the job OK. d2c66b5586
