Yes, the title is saying it all. It's very well written with a point to make, which, as always, Jack Reacher delivers. I do like the fact that it's a stand alone novel and a great thriller. I was waiting for another Reacher novel and look forward to the rest of the Jack Reacher series. Great read, Jack Reacher.
I have read a few of these Jack Reacher novels over the last few years and enjoyed them all. This one is no exception. Perhaps not as fast paced as some of the others, but a decent read all the same. Liked the characterisation of the protagonist Reacher. Recommended.
I have to confess not reading any of the other Jack Reacher books...but love the title of this book. It sounds like just the kind of book I'd like. I'll just have to wait for it to come out...probably 5 months away!!
Jack Reacher has been assigned to protect a little girl named Charlie during the sale of a mundane art collection. While Reacher is enjoying the scenery, the daughter of the owner is kidnapped. However, the kidnapper has taken her to an island prison to hold her for ransom. Reacher cannot let that happen, so he sets upon the island to rescue the little girl. Of course, disaster follows disaster as Reacher may be forced to take some drastic measures to prevent the kidnapper from selling the art he really wants.
